The album society sucker is about to drop is EXCELLENT. might end up being one of the best straight up hardcore releases of 2014.
I've been slacking big time this year with keeping up with new albums in hardcore and punk. I think the new Sheer Terror is gonna be awesome.
Outside of hardcore I thought the St. Vincent s/t and future island's "singles" were awesome

Miranda Lambert's new album "Platinum" (came out yesterday) is a banger. Legitimately restored my faith in country music. Sounds like Tanya Tucker, Patty Loveless, Dolly Parton, and Tammy Wynette had a child. Old country vibes, catchy lyrics.
Same goes for Kacey Musgraves album from last year "Same Trailer Different Park"
Plus they're both actual smokes.
Johnny Cash- "Out Among the Stars" new release of old material and b-sides but it's still pretty good, I think.
CI- Fever... can't go wrong with that stuff
That new Tough Luck record they released at that show a month or so ago was tight AF, too.
2014 has been lacking in my eyes- all music genres.
Excited about this summer:
New Old Crow Medicine Show- "Remedy"
New Trampled By Turtles "Wild Animals"

It's legitimately an amazing show each time, talented ass musicians and good music with sick covers they do, too. |
